This is a nice photography perception trick. By foregrounding the oversize leaves we create the tiniest castaway of the lot. Found on Washington Avenue in Brooklyn.

Pop tarts belong in the same category as Capri Sun. They are both good space food and they last a long time. Also, neither is particularly good for you. Out of over 175 Castways, this is only the second grape one we’ve seen. Grape juice drinkers are a very specific type. They deserve their own conference I think.

Its getting hot on the sidewalks of nyc. Sometimes that results in a slight glittery appearance on the concrete. Be advised, I’m preparing for a sharp spike in sightings…

It must be hard to figure out whether a Castaway is a bottle or a can when organizing one’s recycling. From my perspective there is legitimate reason to create a juice pouch specific co-mingle. But that time is certainly far in the distant future. For now, I suppose, we must place it on the ground.

It is good to get the youth involved so as to gain some perspective. For over a year now we’ve been tracking some maniacal juice drinker around the city, the country, and the world. So I’m happy that Mr Fewx’s nephew Marcus decided to give us an insight into what it takes to be such a dedicated pouch sucker. Keep ‘em coming Marcus.

A birthday post from Liese Mayer. Just a couple unlikely friends waiting down on the subway platform. Thanks Liese!

Another chain link fence loitering Castaway. They clearly maintain a close proximity at all times. Found by Mike Fewx somewhere in Ditmas Park.

Here is a fresh shiny Castaway. It kinda looks like that stump is pursing its lips for a little sip. Found on Sterling Place in prospect heights.

Outside the MoMA on a Kraftwerk performance day. Our culprit apparently has not only an appetite for green apple CapriSun, but a taste for vintage German techno-pop. Somehow that doesn’t surprise me.

Bump. Just another well composed photo by Mr. Fewx. A hit and run. A violent splattering of tropical juices.
